The only New Year’s Resolution that I’ve ever kept and taken sort-of seriously was 2013’s vow to join (and regularly attend) the gym. It lasted three months, and Charlotte (confessionofaginger) and I got into a really good routine of going every other day or so. I noticeably lost weight and started to enjoy exercise!
Sadly, it wasn’t a permanent fix. Quelle surprise.
I’ve decided to set myself one resolution this time around. It’s nothing monumentous nor does it fall under the patronising category of ‘new year, new me!!!!’. Instead, I’ve decided to make 2015 the year of good skincare. Yes, really. My New Year’s resolution is to properly cleanse, tone and exfoliate my face, as it’s something I’ve never done before. Team splash-your-face-with-cold-water 4life. It might seem insignificant, but I’m hoping a skincare routine will keep me looking and feeling healthier. Not only that, but in moments of despair (which I’m sure will rattle around in exam season and probably become a daily occurrence) at least I can retain my sanity by reminding myself that I am a strong, capable woman who has a good skincare routine.
What are your new year’s resolutions?
Until next time,
